It is your responsibility as an employer to ensure your staff have completed fire safety training and fire warden training in order to act effectively in the event of a fire.

Our training courses are run by FPA certified trainers throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire and designed to support your fire safety management processes. All our courses have a practical focus and can be tailored to meet your specific needs. All courses are delivered on-site at your convenience.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER PRACTICAL COURSE


This course covers fire extinguisher types and the correct way they should be used. Delegates will gain valuable experience of using Water, Co2, Foam and Powder fire extinguishers in a controlled and safe environment. The course lasts approximately 1 hour and up to 15 delegates may attend.

BASIC FIRE SAFETY THEORY & PRACTICAL COURSE


A presentation covering theory and classes of fire, types of fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing methods, fire prevention, emergency evacuation procedures, fire safety signage and an informal quiz. Weather permitting we will also carry out a practical explaining the correct way fire extinguishers should be used. Delegates will gain valuable experience of using Water, Co2, Foam and Powder fire extinguishers in a controlled and safe environment. The course lasts approximately 2 hours and up to 15 delegates may attend.

FIRE MARSHAL / WARDEN TRAINING


Taking on the role of fire marshal or fire warden within an organisation brings with it significant responsibilities. Our comprehensive training course will ensure that your ‘responsible person’ is comfortable and confident that key members of staff are fire safety trained on their roles and responsibilities. A presentation will cover theory and classes of fire, types of fire extinguishers and extinguishing methods. Fire prevention, evacuation procedures, hazard identification, fire safety signage, nature and development of fire, building risk assessment, fire action plans, building protection are covered in a practical participation on your site where it matters most. The course last approximately 3 hours and up to 12 delegates may attend.
